Freebie and Tutorial: Fancy Christmas Bauble Ornaments Decorations, Baubles Ornament

! Please visit My Google Drive to download the templates. They are for personal use ONLY !

We are really getting into the spirit of things here in the Corda household, specially since I have been designing some Christmas labels (found HERE at out Facebook shop) and the little Lucia girl I made.

Now I wanted to make some decorations and share a tutorial with you all. These are so quick and easy, you will make tons of them!

Supplies needed

* Printer
* Patterned paper of your choice OR color pencils to color the templates.
* Items to decorate with, glitter, beads etc. Whatever you want!
*Glue or tape (preferably double sided tape, but normal works too).
* Scissors or craft knife.

Step 1

* Print the template of the bauble you want to decorate. You will need 4 of each design.
* You can also print on patterned paper using a low opacity so the template is barely visible.
* OR you can print it once and use that as a template on the patterned paper!

Step 2

Cut out the design from the paper.

Step 3

* Score each piece down the middle with a scoreboard
*Or you can use a ruler and mechanical pencil without the lead out
* OR carefully fold them.

Step 4

Decorate!

Step 5

Glue or tape three of the pieces together.

Step 6

Put a piece of thread down the middle of the decoration. Add pearls and other decoration if you like.
Glue or tape to the inside of the design to secure.

Step 7

Glue or tape the last piece on.

Done! :)

See how easy that was!? When you have made it once you will have gotten the hang of it and there is nothing stopping you!

Please feel free to show us what you made with the designs! It would make our day! :D

Freebie: Lucia girl for Saint Lucy's Day and Feast of Saint Lucy, Santa Lucia and Sankta Lucia

I have had this lovely little digital stamp from The Graphics Fairy for ages and have had the want to do something with it for just as long, but I have never really known what!

I have returned to it time and time again to see if inspiration would strike, but it did not until today (or tonight ;) ). I would make her into a girl celebrating Saint Lucy's Day ( "Saint Lucia" here in Sweden).

This is what the finished piece looks like. I am really proud of how it turned out! :)

Renaissance Color Palette

I am going to paint a wooden lockbox, and I have been inspired by the Renaissance lately. But what colors are appropriate? Here I have created a easy overview palette with color swatches with the most commonly used colors of the period.
